4th of July Family Activities
LOU 4th of JULY CELEBRATION!
July 2nd
- 6:30 p.m. Non-Denominational Worship Service at Paris-Yates Chapel
- 7-9 p.m. Street Dance on the Square
Thursday, July 4th
- 7:30 a.m.: Freedom 5k & Family Fun Run to benefit MS Critterz
- 8:30 a.m.: Fun Run
- 9:30 a.m.: LOU 4th of July Children’s Parade on the Square, lineup begins at 9 a.m. by Something Southern. Sponsored by Josh Hawkins for State Representative
- 4 p.m.- Activities in the Grove at Ole Miss
- Activities include: Children’s Area, Music, Petting Zoo, Pony rides, Train Rides, Bounceys, Face Painting, Balloons. Refreshments will be available.
- 4-5 p.m. LOU Community Band
- 5:30 p.m. Lil' Mr. & Miss Firecracker Independence Day Pageant
- 6:30 p.m.: Independence Day Ceremony in the Grove honoring our local service men and women
- 7-8:15 p.m. Music in the Grove
- 9 p.m. (Nightfall): Fireworks Presentation over Oxford-University Stadium-Swayze Field. Premium Stadium Seats Available for $2 each, no coolers please. Gates to stadium open at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
The LOU 4th of July Committee is presented by the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored By City of Oxford, The University of Mississippi, Family Crisis Services of Northwest MS, Olin-Winchester and MaxxSouth. Josh Hawkins for State Representative.
