Assistant Construction Project Manager
Job Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager at RKA Construction supports the Project Manager in overseeing and coordinating residential or commercial construction projects. This role is vital to ensuring that projects stay on schedule, meet budget requirements, and adhere to RKA's quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Budgeting:
- Review project budgets weekly
- Work with PM to ensure the projected total budget is accurate at completion
- Write purchase orders for all subcontractors and suppliers
- Scheduling:
- Monitor project schedule
- Produce Gant Chart project schedule at commencement of each project
- Assist superintendent with subcontractor notification
- Distribute project schedules as required
- Estimating:
- Quote Procurement
- Material Takeoffs
- Communication:
- Communicate internally among PMs, Accounting Team regarding Account Receivable
- Distribute Neighborhood letters
- Material Tracking:
- Produce material selections schedule
- Monitor owner selections and send reminders for upcoming selection dates
- Provide pricing detail for owner selections as required
- Provide owner with helpful information to make selection process easy
- Maintain internal selections spreadsheet
- Permits:
- Ensure permits are pulled in timely manner
- Ensure all inspections during project are passed
- SWPPP permits
- Miscellaneous:
- Lead paint documentation when applicable
- Utility coordination when applicable
- Punch list process tracking and execution
- Ensure quality control standards are being maintained
- Project Documentation - Maintain Job Binders and Electronic Files
- JobTread Software Monitoring and Implementation
- Project Closeout
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Certification Required
- Driver's License Required
- Attention to Detail
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Good Customer Service Skills (when assisting clients in seeing out requests)
- Strong Ability to Follow Directions
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Starting at $60,000
Schedule:
- 8 Hour Shift
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
